Our much awaited, well equipped Science Lab cum AV Room is ready. Plenty of excellent equipment in terms of scientific models has arrived. We were unable to start the lab due to the lockdown, but everything is ready to be operationalized at first opportunity.
Since the students are not physically attending school, they are not getting the usual mid- day meal or other nutritional supplements. To overcome this and to ensure they get adequate nutrition we have continued our food distribution drive. These food packets include high protein food items like roasted gram, jaggery, peanuts, soya, cereals etc.
Extensive training to students and staff was given so that children of Grade 5 across our three campuses could continue with their education over Zoom.
New Classrooms at Pragati Max and Pragati Vatika campus
With regular school closed, we used this opportunity to enhance the classroom capacity of our Max and Vatika campuses – a much needed initiative. We are glad that the children will no longer have to sit in open air classrooms. We now have brand new well equipped classrooms there.
Pragati virtually celebrated India’s 75thIndependence Day. The children were shown a short animated film about India’s independence. This was followed by a brief address by the Principal, Mrs. Madhumita Sen. The event concluded with the children singing the National Anthem along with their teachers.
Many Congratulations to Team Pragati , for winning the Marginalised Education in the Millennium City award at Grant Thornton Bharat Sabera [ GTSABERA 2020] award ceremony.
In our endeavour to mitigate the impact of Covid 19 on the education and nutrition of children, we conducted food distribution drives at all three branches of Pragati today.
