Our Story
Pragati’s journey began in 2002, when a group of compassionate women in Gurgaon came together with a simple yet powerful idea—to teach the children of migrant workers who were building the foundations of the emerging Millennium City.
Under the shade of a tree in a neighborhood park, with 8 children and 11 volunteers, classes began. These children, whose parents toiled as construction laborers and domestic workers, often had no access to schooling. The women saw in them not just the right to education, but the promise of a brighter future.
What started as an informal learning circle has today evolved into a thriving education initiative. Pragati supports 4 Government Primary schools, reaching 480+ children each year. From that first park classroom to modern digital-enabled classrooms, our mission remains unchanged—to ensure that no child is left behind.
